Band Manager Gets Bronchitis From Tobacco Smoke Exposure
I help musicians in ten different bands with the production of their shows when they are performing in Colorado nightclubs. I'm in the venue, exposed to second-hand smoke, for at least 8 hours per show, typically. If I'm helping with a run of shows, I can be working in venues for 4 or 5 nights in a row. I have chronic bronchitis because of my exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke. I don't smoke. Because of the smoke, I have had to turn down the opportunity to help bands in most Denver venues and only work for the bands who play in smokefree venues, such as Boulder and now, Fort Collins.
